On 25 JUL 2006, the 29th Infantry Division met the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment on the battlefield of dod_saints.  The boys from the 502nd put up a good fight against the 29th, but the men of the 29th refused to leave the battlefield defeated.

During the first round the men of the 29th, led by TSgt. Reyes (now FSgt. Reyes 8)), assaulted the defense that the 502nd (Axis) had set up.  The 29th (Allies) knowing that the mass of the defense was right before them (around the Axis Tiger tank and Pak37) as they awaited to attack in full force.  TSgt. Reyes gave the attack to charge and the men of the 29th fearlessly went out and launched their attack on the defense.  TSgt. Reyes took out four enemies with his trusty BAR, but was picked off by an enemy sniper.  The 29th suffered some casualties, but refused to accept defeat.  Private Lash and PFC Nourse were the only ones left.  PFC Nourse was pinned down by an Kraut MG who was proned in the axis back alley over watching the stairway from the river.  Private Lash hunted down the enemy sniper that took out his beloved Technical Sergeant and took him out.  After which, he moved over to help his only brother in arms left on the battlefield, and took out what he thought was the MG who had pinned him down.  Pvt. Lash then proceeded upwards toward the Pak37 while PFC Nourse moved through the back alley.  Pvt. Lash used his sniper rifle effectively to hunt down the last enemy with his team mate and was able to pick off the Axis MG who was in the bell tower.  For those stated actions performed by Private Lash, he is being awarded the Silver Star.

During the second round, the 29th (Axis) defended their newly acquired stronghold.  The 502nd planned their attack to regain their lost land while the 29th set up their defense.  This was an intense round where the 502nd carefully pushed up on each part of the 29th's defense.  But once again, the 29th refused to be defeated.  The defense took out six men before being broken down to two men left.  T/5 Theel and Cpl. McCabe were the only ones left and held their grown like true warriors.  The last four men of the 502nd carefully advanced on the final two men.  T/5 Theel noticed a build up around the black car near the stairway leading to the river, and primed his grenade and tossed it to that location.  He took out two men and then primed another grenade to take out the Allied MG watching Theel's position, he took out the MG as well.  T/5 Theel severely crippled the 502nd with his skillfully thrown grenades.  The last man of the 502nd bravely tried to flank T/5 Theel.  It came to the point where they were face to face with bullets flying past their ears.  Both of them fearlessly kept firing at eachother while being three feet away from eachother, K98 VS BAR...quite intense.  Little did the Ally know, that Cpl. McCabe was already on the job of flanking him with his trusty MP40.  T/5 Theel fell back and so did the Ally, falling right into Cpl. McCabe's sights.  For the above stated actions performed by T/5 Theel, he is being awarded the Silver Star.

TSgt. Reyes is also being awarded the Legion of Merit for planning and leading the entire scrimmage.

The men of the 29th Infantry Division left the battlefield victorious and celebrated after the scrimmage.  Congratulations to the courageous and brave men of CP1, a victory over the 502nd is not easy to come by.  You've made the 29th now 3-0, you've all help the 29th keep their undefeated record.  You are all being awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and your respective Combat Infantry Badges.  Good job gentlemen, you deserve this.
